While you do not need to be muscular in appearance to hit the ball far it still helps to have some muscle especially strong wrist muscles. Go to a gym or use dumbbells at home to do wrist curls with as much weight you can comfortably lift to build up wrist muscles.

Also do your best to strengthen and maintain the rest of the muscles in your body as this will only make hitting longer drives easier.
