Stay In The Present It is important to stay focused in the present moment as you are about to make contact with the golf ball. Make sure that you eliminate any thoughts about the past or the future. This can be a difficult thing to learn at the start but with practice it will become easy. All you need to do is make sure that your mind is focused on the target when you are about to strike the golf ball. You need to learn to keep your mind quiet as you are about to hit the golf ball. This quiet state of mind that is sharply focused on a target is what will enable you to make the best possible swing consistently under any conditions regardless of how much pressure you are under. You must train your swing during practice sessions but when you are on the course you must then trust it and believe in your game.
